HOCKEY
OTAGO ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the executive of the Otago Men's Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. last evening, when there were present:—Mr H. F. Payton (in the chair), and Messrs D. T. Woodfield, W. M'Queen, O. Dey, E. Densem, R. Twose, H. Pickup, F. R. Brebner, J. Harris, H. Morrison, and the secretary (H. Sew Hoy). The following senior team will represent Otago against Southland at the Oval next Saturday at 3 p.m.:—Goal, H. Pickup (T.C.0.8.); backs, P. Allen (University), C. Belfield (University, captain); halves —L. Gurr (H. 5.0.8.), B. Hore (Oaimiru). D. Ward (Albany); forwards —Walton (University), A. Baxter (Balclutha), E. Rennick (Albany), E. Brown (Oamaru), G. Botting (University); reserves —J. Harris (T.C.0.8.), F. Brebner (H. 5.0.8.), D. Hardcastle (H. 5.0.8.), A. Martin (H. 5.0.8.). A practice will be held for both senior and junior representative teams on the Oval on Wednesday at 5 p.m. It is essential that all members should be present. The following; junior team will represent Otago against Southland on the Oval next Saturday, at 1.45 p.m.:—Goal, L. Sew Hoy (T.C.0.8.); backs, Kerr (Caversham), Boocock (Albany); halves —G. Coxhead (T. 0.8.), Day (Albany, captain), D. Densem (Albany); forwards—Meinung (Albany), Dyer (H. 5.0.8.), Strutbers (University), Robertson (Caversham), J. Densem (Albany). Reserves: Back, Spence (University); half, Shaw (University); forward, Outram (H. 5.0.8.). The following will represent the Primary Schools in a match against the Southland Primary Schools at the Oval next Saturday, at 1.45 p.m.:—Goal, J. Campbell; backs, A. K. Cuthbert, J. Torranee; halves —P. Miller, A. Kennedy, B. S. Coburn; forwards—D. N. Tuckwell, W. F. Williams, S. W. Shrimpton (captain), M. R. WelJs, P. D. H. Stewart; reserves, J. Mundy, B. R. Graham. Mr D. T. Woodfield was appointed referee for the junior representative match, Mr A. Chapman for the senior match, and Mr R. Butler for the 'primary schools' match. Linesmen: Senior, Mr R. Twose; junior, Mr J. Harris; primary schools, Mr Hobson. Permission was granted the H. 5.0.8. Club to play an exhibitiou match at Mosgiel next Saturday.
