Cameron.., ~_, • The" meeting of- the- Beacon -Juvenile ' Temple, No. 27, was held on Thursday; C.T. Sis. Elsie Storm presiding over a fair-attendance, of members. After the usual business' had been" dealt with' the' superintendent proceeded with' the preparing of the items for the. anniversary,which is to Tie held in the near future.-...'/ ' The meeting of'All Nations Lodge, No. 13, was held, on Thursday, C.T. Bro. W. D. Campbell presiding over a good attendance, of members. '.: P.G.GT: Bro. .D.altQrt was also present. Favourable reports were received concerning Sis. Mrs Telfer and,Bro..Wade.-who were in hospital. The programme, under the' direction' of the associate members, was held oyer till next meeting. The C.T. conducted a two-minute impromptu speech contest '.. C.T. Bro. : ■*V. A. lies presided' over a good attendance of members and visitors at the weekly meeting of the Rescue Lodge. Greetings were received from Sis. Mrs Saunders and Bro. T. Tiley, and Bro. Petherick, G.C.T., and Bro. J. Trevithick. Reports were received on the official visit ,to the Star. of Freedom Lodge,' and also of visits to members of the All Nations and Hope of. Caversham who are in hospital.. The, Juvenile Temples, under the jurisdiction of the Rescue -Lodge, were reported to be still maintaining the good standard. The sisters competed in a naildriving, competition., and the brothers endeavoured to trim hats for inspection by the sisters., Sis. Mrs Metcalfe was the winner of the nail-driving, and Bro. W. A. lies was.declared the beet trimmer of hats. Sis. Beath contributed a true to life Temperance recitation. A vote of thanks to the visitors was replied to-by Sis. A. Steedman. The weekly meeting of the Silver Star Temple met on Wednesday evening in the Radiant Health room, when Sis. Mavis Rackley, C.T., presided ovor a large attendance of members. Sis. Mrs Rayner, superintendent, was in charge. Two candidates were proposed for membership and were initiated. Correspondence was received from Bro. Pace, G.S.J .W., of Auckland, congratulating the'teinple on its behaviour and the working condition of the temple. Arrangements were made for the final rehearsals for the concert. A number of names were handed in of children taking part in a beauty competition. Bro. Brooks, A.S.J.V., of the Star of the" South, was welcomed, and he conveyed the greetings of his temple.
