LOS ANGELES, September 22. Satoh advanced to the finals by defeating Tidball 6—3, 6—4, 6—2. Perry defeated Stoefen 6 —o, B—6, 6—l.

PERRY WINS MEN'S SINGLES.

' LOS ANGELES, September 23. (Received Sept. 24, at 10 p.m.) Perry retained the Championship on Saturday by defeating Jiro Satoh, 6—4, I_6, 6—3, 7—5. Vines and Miss Elizabeth Ryan defeated Perry and Miss Round in the Mixed Doubles, 6—l, 6—l. Perry played with his ankle taped, having sprained it near the end of the Singles.

LOS ANGELES, September 23. (Received Sept. 24, at 9 p.m.) Miss Round defeated Miss Marble for the Singles title, 6—2, 6—2. Van Ryn and Stratford defeated Turnbull and Quist in the semi-finals of the Men's Doubles, 6—l, 6—4, 13—11. In the Mixed Doubles semi-finals Miss Round and Perry defeated Mr and Mrs Van Ryn, 6—4, B—6; Miss Ryan and Vines defeated Miss Babcock and Stoefen,. 4—6, 6-4, 6—4.

(Received Sept. 24, at 5.5 p.m.) Cochet made his professional debut in a French-American match before a small crowd at Roland Garros, where he defeated Bruce Barnes 6—4, 5—7, 6 —4, o—6, 6—3. Displaying Davis Cup form, though he was listless and ragged in the late stages, Tilden beat Plaa 6—3, 6—3, 6—2.
