BABY SKELETON FOUND

The skeleton of a baby which was buried about 1600 years ago was found last month under the floor of a Roman house that iR being excavated in Verulamium, near St. Albans, England, The walls of the house had been un. covered, and the excavators were searching through a mass of debris that had been laid down, possibly as a foundation, when the child's skull was discovered. The thin, fragile skull bone was split, and when assembled measured no more than about eight inches in diameter, More earth was removed, and the skeleton was revealed, with pieces of mosiae pavement mixed up with the bones.
