NEW POSmON IN LONDON HIGH COMMISSIONER. -SYDNEY, September 21. Mr Bruce has been officially appointed High Commissioner. The Government is awaiting his resignation from Cabinet and Parliament.

THE NEWS CONFIRMED. LONDON, September SI. Mr Bruce confirms his acceptance of the High Commissionership. Mr Stanley Bruce, who has been Australian Minister in London since February, 1932, was Commonwealth Treasurer from 1921 to 1923 and Prime Minister from 1923 to 1929. He represented Australia at the League of Nations Assembly in 1921 and at the Imperial Economic Conference in London in 1923 and in Ottawa in 1932.
