DUNEDIN GARDENING CLUB

The Dunedin Gardening Club’s fortnightly meeting was held .bn Tuesday evening, when, there, was a good attendance. Sir F. 11. Hollingworth occupied the chair. The subject -for. the ■ evening was « Chrysanthemums and Sweet Peas,” and this was in the bands of Mr E. A. Hamel, who explained very fully, the propagation of the chrysanthemum and its cultivation.. He also dealt lucidly with the sweet pea, and gave practical demonstrations ,of the various details. ' At .the conclusion various questions were dealt with and on the motion of Mr J; .Passmore’ a vote of thanks was passed to - Mr Hamel for his instructive address. Sweet pea; seed presented by- the Moa Seed ’ Fahn .for 'competition, was given out to feembers of the- club who -had entered for the competition.
