DR HOWARD MOWLL

SYDNEY APPOINTMENT VISIT TO ENGLAND FIRST. SHANGHAI, September 8. Dr Howard Mowll, Bishop of Western China and Archbishop-elect of Sydney, with Mrs Mowll, is at present at Szechucn, whither he recently returned after attending the sittings of synod at Peking. Writing to a clerical friend in Shanghai, the bishop said he was making a round of visits to his friends, preparatory to leaving by the steamer Chengtu, at the beginning of October, for England, via Canada. Dr Mowll hopes to be able to spend six weeks in England before leaving for Sydney, where he expects to arrive next February or thereabouts. '
