Having completed discharge of her bulk oil cargo the Texas Oil Company’s tanker New Zealand sailed . from Auckland last Saturday for San Pedro. Advice has been received that the Danish motor ship Victoria left Nauru Island on September 11 with 8000 tons of phosphates for discharge at Lyttelton and Auckland. The vessel Is due at Lytclton to-day, and at Auckland about September 26. She will unload about 2200 tons at Lyttelton, and the remainder of the cargo at Auckland. WAIKOUAITI FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that the Walkouaitl left Sydney at s'p.m. on Tuesday, for Bluff, Dunedin, Tlmaru, Lyttelton and Oamaru, and Is due at this port on Tuesday next. She has on board transhipment cargo ex the following vessels: —Commissaire Ramel, Baradlne, Kitano Maru, Parrakoola, Drama, Kyokkoh Maru, Talleyrand, Changte. RANGITANE CLEARS COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rangitane, which sailed from Auckland for London on August 31, cleared. Colon on September 19. WAINUI PROM MELBOURNE. The Union Company advises that the Intercolonial steamer Wainul Is to sail from Melbourne next Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The mishap In the englneroom of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor freighter Port Fremantle has resulted in an unusual order going to the Cockatoo Island dockyard, Sydney, which will undertake the fabrication of a piece of machinery never before. It is claimed, manufactured in Australia. The crank of the scavenging pump on the starboard engine was fractured in Wellington, and the manufacture of a new crank to replace It is the work being undertaken by the dockyard. It is expected to occupy, nearly a month. Meanwhile the Port Fremantle has gone to Melbourne on the port engine, on which she crossed the Tasman. On her return to Sydney she will tie up alongside Cockatoo Island until the work is completed. PERSONAL ITEMS. Captain S. Hewitt has taken command of the Walpiata, relieving Captain W. A.
