The weather was dull and threatening in Dunedin yesterday, and a slight southwest breeze was blowing. Light rain set in early in the evening, but cleared later on. The maximum temperature was 47 degrees. The barometer rose during the day, and registered 30.10 last evening. REPORTS FROM NORTHERN , CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, September 21. Boisterous conditions ruled early in the morning with the wind from the north-east and heavy rain. The wind dropped later in the morning, but heavy showers fell at intervals until midday. During the afternoon the wind was from the south. The sky cleared and the conditions were fine for the rpst of the day. The barometer fell to 29.70 in during the morning, but rose steadily later. WELLINGTON, September 21. Boisterous conditions were experienced in Wellington to-day. In the morning the northerly wind dropped and a fresh southerly breeze blew up heavy rain which fell throughout the greater part of the afternoon. The evening was fine but cold. CHRISTCHURCH, September 21. The weather to-day was fine with a moderate W.S.W. breeze in the morning, Changing to a fresh south-westerly in the afternoon. The sky became overcast towards evening, and a drizzle began at 7 p.m.
