Mr Emilio Scala, one time London cafe keeper, who became the most famous of Irish sweep winners, is building a palace at his native town of Isola-del-Lira, whither he, fled recently from London. Even in the seclusion of Mr Scala’s native town the fame which drove him from England has not passed him by. He is still pestered with letters.
