EXPEDITION TO LAPLAND

ENGLISH SCHOOLBOYS JOURNEY THROUGH FORESTS. (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, September 12. (Received Sept. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) After an expedition to Lapland extending over one month and including 12 days’ compass journey northwards through forests, a party of 35 English public school boys under Surgeon-com-mander Levick returned to Helsingfors. The boys marched 140 miles with rucksacks which at the start weighed 461 b. The boys carried light sleeping bags and slept in tents. They felt the cold, as the temperature was frequently below zero.
