FLOCK HOUSE
MEETING OF PROVINCIAL COMMITTEE A meeting of the Flock House Provincial Committee was held yesterday afternoon, when Mr W, F. Forrester occupied the chair. It was reported that a trainee from Wailcouaiti had left for Flock House the previous day. Several reports were received from the trainees’ employers, stating that they were carrying out their work efficiently. It was reported that a trainee who would complete his course this week had already been found employment, and would take this up immediately. Mr J. Spoor, representative of the Farmers’ Union, reported that the Otago Provincial Council of the union would again finance a boy for the second year’s course. The secretary reported that positions were available with two selected farmers for trainees who would complete their course during the next few weeks. The chairman said that at the present time the difficulty was to get sufficient trainees to come forward for entry to Flock House, and he asked members to give this fact as much publicity as possible.
