MOSGIEL MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION
The Mosgiel Ministers’ Association held its monthly meeting yesterday at the East Taieri Manse. The Rev, Hugh Graham (president) occupied the chair. ■ Amongst various matters dealt with was bible reading in the schools, and a paper was read by the Rev. Mr Francis entitled “ Christian Science in the Light of Scripture.” This was the first of a series' of addresses on modern cults. A lively and informative discussion followed, to which all contributed. The association heard with regret that the Rev. W, E. Lambert (who has been secretary for some time) was leaving Mosgiel for Invercargill, and the following resolution was passed:—“We, the Ministers’ Association of Mosgiel, desire to place on record our deep appreciation of the services of the Rev. W. E. Lambert during his five years’ residence in Mosgiel, and particularly his service to the cause of unemployment relief. We wish him God-speed in his new sphere of work.” ... The Rev. F. J. Ferry was appointed secretary. '
