TAIERI FOOTBALL CLUB

SOCIAL EVENING. A very enjoyable social evening was held at Mosgiel last night by the members and supporters of the Taieri Football Club for the purpose of entertaining the first fifteen in recognition of the success which it gained this season in the interclub matches. In addition presentations were made to the president (Mr W. Allan) and the senior vice-president (Mr J. M‘Gregor), both of whom have worked hard in the interests of the club not only in the past season but in former ones as well. Air Allan was in the chair, and an appropriate toast list was honoured, interspersed with songs, recitations and musical items. Mr Allan was presented with a walking stick and Mr M'Gregor with a cigarette case. Both gifts were suitably acknowledged, and opportunity was also taken by the team to return thanks for the kindness of friends in entertaining its members.
