SUPREME COURT

(Before his Honor Mr Justice Kennedy.) His Honor Mr Justice Kennedy presided over a sitting of the Supreme Court yesterday. f FAMILY PROTECTION ACT. His Honor was asked to make an order, under the Family Protection Act, in regard to the will of the late Charles William Body, of Kelso. Mr R. B. Bannerman appeared for the plaintiff, Alice Body; Mr F. B. Adams for the public trustee, and Mr E. A. Duncan for Ambrose George Body and Agnes Mildred Somerville. Mr Adams said that a settlement had been reached, and his Honor then made an order in terms of the order submitted, making provision for the widow and a child. DECREES ABSOLUTE GRANTED. His Honor granted decrees absolute in the following cases: — Rozcl Florence Grant (Mr B. S. Irwin) v. John George Gearst. The petitioner was given the custody of the - children. 1 Hannah Elizabeth Beatrice Fogarty I (Mr J. G. Warrington) v. Leonard Vin- : cent Fogarty.—Mr Irwin said that. he had filed an appearance on behalf of the respondent, but since the granting of the decree he had received no instruc- • tions. The petitioner was given the cus- • tody of the child. Thomas Glover (Mr C. J. L. White) : v. Pearl Glover.—The petitioner was ; given the custody of the two children.
