Burnside, September 13. Fat Cattle. —There was a medium yarding, 240 being penned as against 190 last week. The quality generally was very good, and there was a good showing of well-finished beef, but of medium weights. There were not many extra heavy bullocks in the entry. Prime cows and heifers were represented by the usual numbers. The market opened weakly with an easing of £1 on heavy cattle and 10s on medium-weights, but a firming was soon in evidence, and after the first two races were sold prices firmed to last week’s rates.
