SCHOOLBOYS’ PRACTICAL JOKE

A practical joke recently played on motorists by Harrow boys was lately disclosed by Dr Cyril Norwood, headmaster of the school, to the Harrow Luncheon Club. Remarking that even the prospect of entering the police force had been anticipated. Dr Norwood continued: “Boys, who were acting the part of policemen in a recent production of “ The Pirates of Penzance,” went out in their uniforms after the dress rehearsal, and on the way home stopped all motor cars, inspected the licenses, and ordered the drivers to report at the police station. I always regret that they did not stop me that night.”
