“THE NEW REVEILLE”

More than 260 performers are rehearsing daily for a spectacular entertainment to be staged at His Majesty’s Theatre for a season of eight nights commencing on September 23. The production is under the auspices of the Plunket Society, and will be produced by Mr W. Lints, of “Reveille” fame, who produced the memorable “ Reveille ” in Dunedin 12 years ago. Mr Lints carries £I2OO worth of scenery, wardrobe, properties, electrical effects for the new “ Reveille." There are 58 different attractions, features, and specialties, 26 song items, and all are supported by full choruses and dances; eight distinctive ballets, ten sketches, and clever comedy numbers will be seen. The opening scene introduces a novel item by 160 performers, while the final scene is a stage spectacle with ISO performers. In the “New Reveille” there is no plot, no padding, and no waste time. It is just one brilliant scene after the other in amazing rapidity. The plans will be open at the D.I.C. on Friday morning.
