CHILLED BEEF EXPORTS

AUSTRALIAN SHIPMENTS LANDED IN GOOD CONDITION. LONDON, September 11. The Mooltan’s chilled beef from the Aberdeen Meat Works (New South Wales) was landed in excellent condition. There was only a slight mould, and the quality was first class. Importers consider it the best yet received from New South Wales. The first shipment of Victorian chilled beef ex the Berribee showed considerable mould, especially the crops, necessitating much cutting. The quality of the meat was excellent. Smithfield experts consider that the shipment was not unsatisfactory for the first experiment.
