LORD ROTHERMERE’S IDEA VANCOUVER, September 5. (Received Sept. 6, at 7 p.m.) A report from Murray Bay, Quebec, *tates that Lord Rothermere, who is ■pending a vacation there, advanced a new monetary scheme, which, lie said, he had discussed with the Prime Minister (Mr R. B. Bennett) recently. ' It , the Canadian currency was linked with that of Australia and New Zealand at a discount of 25 per cent, in ratio to sterling and if the Canadian dollar was worth intrinsically 75 cents we would he able to undersell nearly all primary producing countries in wheat, lumber, ind meat products and base metals.’
