Announcements of Births, Marriages, and Deaths sent by post for publication must bear the signature of our agent, a clergyman, or a J.P. Charge for these 3s each prepaid, or 4s if booked when not exceeding five linos, and 6d for each line over five. In Momorlam notices are Inserted at the same rates, but when Verses are added an additional charge of (id per line is made for each line of space occupied. Notices of Deaths and Private Interment without reference to either time or place of interment, prepaid 5s 6d, booked (is 6d; if undertaker’s name added, prepaid Bs, booked 9s. Notices of Death and Funeral either where the funeral notice is a separate advertisement or is part of the death' notice, prepaid 9s, booked 10s. Notices of Thanks are charged at the rate of Is per line each Insertion.
In computing the lines of space to be occupied, advertisers are notified that they can reckon six words to the line. All words over 30 are therefore charged 6d for each six words.
Advertisers are informed that letters addressed to a non-de-plume or Initials, care of any Post Office, will not in future be received by the Postal Department.
