MR ULM’S FLIGHT PLANE ARRIVES AT ALEPPO. ALEPPO, July 4. Mr Ulm arrived from Basra. He will depart for Athens and Rome to-morrow morning. KING’S CUP AIR RACE. PROMINENT COMPETITORS. LONDON, July 4. Prince George, Air Vice-marshal Burton, Sir Philip Sassoon, and Lieutenantcommander Billyard Leake have all entered Percival “ Gulls ” for the King’s Cup on July 8. Mr Percival himself will fly Lieutenant-commander Leake’s machine. Flight-lieutenant J. G. Armour, equerry to the Prince of Wales, will fly Prince George’s machine. * The King’s Cup race this year will start and finish at Hatfield Aerodrome on July 8, and will be flown in four rounds, the entrants for which will ne decided by means of qualifying heats. The courses for the four rounds have been decided as follows: — First Round. —Hatfield-Felixstowe Bireham-Newton-Hatfield (220 miles). Second Round.—Hatfield - Cranwell-Desford-Hatficld (206 miles). Third Round. —Hatfield-Bircham-New-ton-Wittering-Hatfield (193 miles). Fourth Round. —Two circuits non-stop, Hatfield-Henlow, Upper Heyford-Hat-field (204 miles). The total distance of the race is 823 miles, and all aircraft competing must be capable of a speed of at least 100 m.p.h. Only British entrants, pilots, and aircraft are allowed to compete, and all pilots, whether amateur or professional, must produce proof of having flown alone for at least 100 hours prior to the race. Among the machines entered are four De Haviland “ Puss Moths,” three Hawker “Tomtits,” entered by Sir William Morris and fitted with the new Wolsley aero engine, an Arrow “ Active,” a Copper “ Swift,” a Spartan “Clipper,” and a Miles “Hawk.” THE ITALIAN SQUADRON.
