FREQUENCY OF MOTOR ACCIDENTS

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —Readers of your paper must have Ueen struck, by the number of motor acidents that' become hospital casualties. This is evidence: that motorists, as a class, are' throwing an unfair burden on ; he-general ratepayers. ■ It would be in*. ! cresting if the medical superintendent would make a report to the Hospital Board showing the number of • motor casualty cases admitted annually for the past five years. If this report should bear out my as--•u nipt ion, that motor cars and motor cycles arc causing a burden on the community, I should suggest that assistance be sought from the petrol tax fiinds. —I am, etc., G. C.
