{From Our Own Correspondent.) ROXBURGH, July 3. GOLF. The semi-finals of the club championships were played on Saturday last. The weather was perfect, and the links were in excellent order. The following are the results; — Men. —Seniors: I. M'Lonnan beat L. Sarnies, A. Lamb beat A. Scolon. Juniors: T. Sandcs beat H. J. Vernon, J. Pannett beat J. H. Uren. Ladies. —Mrs Gilmour beat Mrs Sandcs, Mrs Uren beat Mrs George, Mrs Elder boat Miss Uren, Mrs Laloli beat Miss Gilmour. The ladies of the club have been granted their standard scratch score by the Ladies’ Golf Union, and most of the members are keen to play the necessary rounds to enable them to qualify for the L.G.U. Handicap. FOOTBALL. Flag matches played on Saturday resulted as follows: —Ettrick defeated Coal Creek, 13 points to 7; Miller’s Flat defeated Roxburgh, 3 points to nil.
