Work on the lay-out of the new Wellington railway station yard will be commenced to-morrow, when 20 men will be engaged. 1 The number will be increased daily and 150 men will be placed by the middle of next week. Such an early start has been made possible by the decision of the Minister of Employment (Mr A. Hamilton) and the Railways Department that standard rates of pay will obtain on the job. The labour will be furnished through the Labour Bureau.
