FRIENDLY MATCH. The annual match between Commercial Travellers and St. Clair Golf Club resulted in a win for St. Clair Club in the single. The four-ball games were more closely contested, and finally to decide those jt may be necessary for a replay for some .of the games. Conditions were all that could be desired, and, although St. Clair had all the advantage as regards local knowledge, the Commercial Travellers’ team displayed great-fight-ing spirit, qhite a number of their games, especially the ' four-ball event, being finally decided at the nineteenth hole. Lack of daylight prevented a further continuation, and it is suggested that in future the fixture be adopted as a regular summer event.
