EX-GIRLS I v. EX-GIRLS 11. Miss Guppies opened the score for the No. 1 team? A fine passing movement from goal to goal was spoiled by a good interception by Miss 0. Abbott. Miss Howell was next scorer for the Firsts, followed by Miss Guppies with three successive ishots. The combination of the No. 1 at this stage was food, the passing movements being brilliant, but spoilt to a certain extent by rather inconsistent shooting. Miss Sunderland’s , next goal made the score 9 —o. Miss J. Peterson, centre for the Seconds, frequently gave her forwards opportunities, which were lost by weak shooting. Another goal from Miss Guppies, who showed great form, made the score 10 nil. A splendid long shot from Miss Jamie opened the score for the Seconds, and Miss Guppies made the score 11—1 at half time. The game ended: — Ex-Girls I .. 25 Ex-Girls II ............ 4 ALBANY I v. ALBANY 11. Albany I met their second team on University court, and, after a fairly close game, succeeded in defeating them, the final score being 15—11. Albany I opened the score, which was immediately followed by the Seconds, the game opening at a very high speed. At half time the score was 10—5 in favour of Albany. On resuming, some excellent work on behalf of both sets of centres was witnessed. The play was characterised by good defence on the part of the second team, Miss Todd making some splendid saves. Much excitement was exhibited by the spectators towards the end, when the Seconds were making every effort to overtake their opponents. Miss M. M'Lean was the most outstanding forward on the field.
