ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED (Feb United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 28. Severe head injuries from which he later died in hospital were received this evening by a cyclist named Douglas Charles Baker, aged 10, of Ellerslie, when he was involved in a collision with a motor car on the Great South road. The motor car was driven by Mr J. G. M'Donald, of Greenlane. The boy was thrown from his bicycle on to the footpath. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, where he died one hour after his admittance. ACCIDENT IN HUNTING FIELD MAN. SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. (Peu United Press Association.) THAMES, June 28. Frederick William Clotworthy, aged 34, a well-known stock agent, of Turua, married, with two young children, died in the Thames Hospital this afternoon as the result of an accident yesterday in' the hunting field. The deceased was»following the Maramarua hunt at Paeroa, when his horse fell at a fence. Mr Clotworthy was rendered unconscious with head injuries, and was removed to the Paeroa Hospital and thence to Thames. He did not regain consciousness.
