THE WOOL INDUSTRY
INCREASED CONSUMPTION CONFIDENCE RETURNING (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, June 27. The Yorkshire Observer says that confidence in the wool industry is based on the sound computation that output and consumption exceed anything experienced since 1924. A general rise above the closing rates of the last sales is expected at next week's London sales. Most firms are fulfilling extensive contracts and buying more wool. THE LONDON SALES. LONDON, June 27. The wool available for the sales on July 4 is 168,900 bales, including new arrivals—Australian 29,700 and New Zealand 43,500. It is expected that 149,100 bales will be catalogued.
