TURAKINA FROM LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Turakina, from London, arrived at Lyttelton on Sunday. She Is due at Dunedin on Thursday and will probably sail again on Friday for Bluff to complete discharge of her Home cargo. : , MONOWAI LEAVES VANCOUVER. The Union Company advises that the liner Monowal left Vancouver on'June 21 for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on July 9. NOTICE TO MARINERS. The Marine Department advises that the: alteration in standard time as given in Notice to Mariners No. 19 of 1933, will not become effective until October 1. , ... . AKAROA'S ;MOVEMENTS. r The/Shaw, Savlll liner Akaroa was to leave Wellington yesterday, for Auckland to complete discharge, and to commence Homeward loading The Akaroa will' complete at Lyttelton, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Gisborne, and Wellington. She Is due here on July 11, and is scheduled to ctear Wellington finally at daybreak on July 26 for Southampton and London, via the Panama canal. PERSONAL ITEMS. Captain C. Matthews, master of the Federal Line steamer Surrey, which arrived at Dunedin on Saturday, and Cadet J. A. Matthews, of the Northumberland, father and son, met for the first time in 12 months at Lyttelton last Thursday. ■ -Mr Matthews, jun., is making his second voyage to New Zealand as a.member Of the cadet ship Northumberland, and, on meeting his father, was granted two days leave. ' . : ' PASSENGERS BY THE AKAROA. The Akaroa, which arrived at Wellington last Friday morning from London, brought the following passengers?—Mrs B. Anderson, Mr J. Brodle, Mrs A. Cordery, Mrs B. Mr A. Bullock, Mr J. Gnoddee, and Mr G. W. Greenacre disembarked at Curacao. Four passengers embarked at Curacao, and disembarked at Balboa. ■j BIG CARGOES FOR AMERICA. The Canadian National Line steamer Canadian Cruiser, which left Auckland on Friday for New York, Boston, and Montreal, is a full ship, and is carrying the largest cargo from New Zealand to the United States and Canada for several years. She will also load at Wanganui, Napier, Gisborne, and Wellington, leaving Wellington for London on August ThYShaw, Savill Company advises that the Otira was to leave Napier on June 22 for Bluff Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington to complete her loading. She is to leave Wellington on July 4 for London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo. KIWITEA'S AUSTRALIAN LOADING. The Union Company advises that the steamer Klwitea will' load at Melbourne next Monday, and then at Edithburg, Adelaide, and Hobart, leaving the last port on July 11 for Bluff and Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, ami Auckland. - . WAIKOUAITI FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Company advises that the intercolonial cargo vessel Waikouaitl was to leave Sydney, yesterday for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton.
