ASSAULT ON EVEREST
THE THIRD ATTEMPT ' PARTIES LEAVE IN BAD WEATHER. LONDON, June 14. Mr Ruttledge, in a wireless message from Mount Everest on Wednesday, says that two parties left the base camp for the third attempt to reach the summit. The weather was bad. The mountain was heavily covered with snow above 20,000 ft. The parties will be unable to leave camp until there is a considerable improvement.
