GROWING COMPETITION

BRITISH AND JAPANESE GOODS MEETING OF INDUSTRIALISTS URGED. LONDON, June 12. (Received June 12, at 11.10 p.m.) Leading Japanese bankers and industrialists, in a letter to the Daily Mail, denying dumping but admitting that, as Japanese labour costs are so low, it will take the highest duties to exclude the goods of that country, express the fear that the growing AngloJapanese competition will imperil the good relations between the two countries. Therefore the industrialists and business men of the two countries should meet and seek mitigation of competition without harming the industrial or commercial interests of either country.
