The wedding of Miss Margot Russell, youngest daughter of Sir Andrew and Lady Russell, of Tunanui, Hawke’s Bay, and Mr T. C Lowry, eldest son of Miami Mrs T. H. Lowry, Okawa, Hastings, was solemnised on Saturday last. “ Tom ’ Lowry is well known as captain of the New Zealand cricket team which visited England in 1927. and also of the team in 1931,
At the last meeting of the South Dunedin branch of the W.C.T.U. Mrs Donaldson read a paper from Ml’s Pcryman on the “ White Ribbon,” which was much enjoyed. After tea Mrs Denton Leech was introduced, her talk being much enjoyed. The branch thanked her heartily. Mrs Donaldson said she thought a committee should be set up for ft bring-and-i)iiy sale next month and the committee was as follows:—Mesdames Williamson, Powell. Mercier, Isles, and Crawshaw, and Miss Steadman.
