RUGBY, June 7.(Received June 8, at 5.5 p.m.) The Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay Macdonald), in opening the Anglo-Palestine Exhibition in London, paid a tribute to the great services which the Jewish people had rendered to progress _ in science, aft, and politics, and civilisation generally-. ~ Recalling his experiences „ during ms visit to Palestine, he referred to the remarkable efforts of all classes in building a national home for the Jewish people, and agreed with Lord Reading, who presided, that the future of the people of Palestine depended on a loyal understanding and co-operation between the Jews and the Arabs.
