WOMAN'S FAULTY DRIVING

ORDERED TO PAY £2695. Stanley Thomas Ellinor, a motor driversalesman, New Southgate, Middlesex, who wore a " oafetv first" driving medal, was awarded £2590 damages by Mr Justice Swift recently for injuries received through what the judge described as bad driving" by a woman motorist. Mr Ellinor, who walked with the aid of two sticks, v/as driving a motor cycle combination, with his wife in the sidecar, in High road, Whetstone, when a motor car, driven by Miss Marjery Christian Jack, stopued in front of him without p oper warning, it was alleged, and caused him to come into collison with it. Both he and his wife were injured, and as a result of a damaged foot he was unable to follow his employment. Mr Justice Swift also awarded £lO5 damages for Mrs EllinoV, and entered judgment against Miss Jack for a total sum of £2695 and costs.
