DRAUGHTS MATCH
The third draughts match of the season in the competition between four city teams was played in the Y.M.C.A. last evening. The contestants on this occasion were the Caledonian "A" and Otago Clubs. Mr R. C. Mac Murray, of the Tramways Club, acted as referee. Messrs A. White and W. Meldrum were the respective captains. On Thursday next the Caledonian "B " Club will play the Tramways Club at the Tramways Social Hall. The following are yesterday's scores: —
Order " Huia," the butter that is made from the finest Otago cream. —Advt. Arrests made by the Flying Squad of Scotland Yard last year numbered 600; in 450 cases the prisoners were violent, and 150 of them carried firearms. The strength of the Flying Squad is less than 40.
