CONCERT AT GREEN ISLAND

On Thursday night a concert was held in the Town Hall, Green Island, for the dual purpose of bidding farewell to Miss C. Atkinson and of raising money for the school funds. Excellent items were.rendered by the pupils of Mr Ernest Drake, the artists who assisted being Mrs Drake (pianist), Miss Atkinson (songs), Mis» Bond (contralto solos). Miss L. del Clifford (songs). Master G. Grimsdale. (soprano solos), Miss B. Rawlinson (songs), Mr D. Whiskes (flute solos), Mr Bain (recitations), Mr W. Stevenson (songs). The first part of the programme w*« made up of interesting items by the pupils of the school under the capable supervision of the staff. The efforts of the performers were very much appreciated by the audience, which filled the hall. The proceeds of the concert reached a satisfactory figure. ? "
