JOHN AMERY'S ROMANCE
WEDDED TO MISS WING CEREMONY IN ATHENS. , Mr John Amery, the 21-ycar-okl sou of Mr L. S. Ainery, a former Dominions Secretary, and Miss Una Eveline Wing, aged 23, an actress, were married at Athens on March 30. The ceremony was in the private chapel of an Athens'villa, and was performed by the Greek Archimandrite, who had previously baptised the couple according to the Greek Orthodox faith. Mr Ainery first auounced last xiugust that he would marry Miss Una Wing. The Chelsea Registrar declined to perform the ceremony because Mr Ainery was under age. The young couple tried the French, Russian, Bulgarian and the American Pro-Catholic churches and the Belgian churches, but could get no help. Just when the pair had arranged to be married in Russia, Mr Amery had to return to London. His flat had been entered by burglars. A conference on his father's return from Canada ended in the son crossing the Channel by motor boat and meeting Miss Wing in France. Later the couple went to Greece.
