There is a village in Durham where , the old folk proudly boast that if their ; ages were totalled together they would ' stretch back to the days when Adam was a lad. Shotley Bridge is the place where people live happy and long. It has only a few hundred inhabitants, but they include several nonagenarians and over a score of 80-year-olds, while people of 60 and 70 are looked upon as youngsters.
