NEW TRADE TREATY
ITALY AND THE SOVIET ROME, May 6. A new Italo-Soviet trade treaty has been signed. Russia, in 1933, will place £2,250,000 worth of orders for Italian machinery and textiles, and Italy will buy Russian coal, oil and lumber. The Soviet denies that the arrangement has been hastened in consequence of the British embargo.
