Fat Cattle.--There was a yarding of, 274 bead, eomprised mainly of medium sorts with a fair, proportion of well--' finished cuttle, inclusive of some extra choice heifers and bullocks. The sale opened with prices equivalent, to last week’s rates, which were maintained practically throughout without change. .Fat Sheep.—There was_ an entry approximating 2400, consisting principally of medium ewes, with a few consignments of prime ewes and wethers and a fair sprinkling of line-woolled wethers. The sale opened with prices ruling in buyers’ favour to the extent of Is compared with last sale, but during the progress of the sale a further easing was noticeable, with the result that sales at the close were difficult to effect at values showing a decline of fully Is on opening rates, in particular for wethers.
