PROPOSED WAGE REDUCTION A STOPPAGE OP WORK. (Peb United Press Association.) HAMILTON, April 18. As a protest against a propose- - * 20 per cent, wage reduction at the Rerown mine all the miners in the Huntly, and Glenafton districts, except Pukemiro, refused to resume work to-day. The men are opposed to the cutting ol coal prices, which they regard as being done with an ulterior motive. It is the intention of the men to seek Government intervention to fix a fair price for the coal.
