RAILWAY NOTIFICATIONS ZEALAND RAILWAYS. EASTER HOLIDAYS, 1933. DAILY RUNNING OF EXPRESS AND MAIL TRAINS. From Wednesday, 12th April, to Wednesday, 19th April, 1933, inclusive, the following Express and Mail Trains will run DAILY (Sunday excepted):— The 7.0 a.m. Invercargill-Lyttelton and 8.35 a.rn. Christchurch-Invercargill Express trains. The 8.40 a.m. Dunedin-Christcluirch and 12.25 p.m. Christchurch-Dunedin Mail trains. The 8.33 a.m. Dunedin-lnvercargill Mail train will run DAILY except on 14th, 17th, and 18th April, when it will run to GORE only. On these dates Relief Mail train leaves Dunedin for Invercargill at 9.0 a.m. The 1.45 p.m. Invercargill-Dunedin Mail train will run DAILY except on 14th, 17th, and 18th April, when it will run from GORE only. On these dates Relief Mail train leaves Invercargill for Dunedin at 2.5 p.m. On Monday, 17th April, the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Dunedin Mail train (Dunedin arrive 5.1 p.m.) will NOT run. RELIEF EXPRESS AND SPECIAL ' NIGHT TRAINS. CHRISTCHURCH-DUNEDIN. - 13th and 14th April Relief Express train leaves Christchurch 9.10 a.m., Oamaru arrive 1.33 p.m., depart 1.55 p.m., Dunedin arrive 5.1 p.m. On 13th April Relief Express train leaves Dunedin 12.5 p.m., Oamaru arrive 3.8, depart 3.31, Christchurch arrive 8.6 p.m. Will NOT connect with ferry steamer at Lyttelton. On 14th April Relief Express train leaves Dunedin 9.5 a.m., Oamaru arrive 12.14 p.m., depart 12,37 p.m., Christchurch arrive 5.55 p.m. NIGHT TRAINS.—On 13th April Special Night Trains leave Christchurch 9.28 p.m. and 10.25 p.m., Oamaru 2.41 a.m. and 3.34 a.m. (on 14th), Dunedin arrive 3.0 a.m. and 6.53 a.m. (The 10.25 p.m. train will have sleeping accommodation.) _ On 13th April Special Night Trams leave Dunedin 10.0 p.m. and 11.20 p.m., Oamaru 1.38 a.m. and 2.35 am. (14th), Christchurch arrive 7.12 a.m. and 7.18 a.m. (The 11.20 p.m. train will have sleeping accommodation.) Bus to and from Waimate connects with night trains at Studholme on 14th. On 17th April Special Night Train will leave Christchurch 10.25 p.ih., Oamaru 3.34 a.m. (18th), Dunedin arrive 6.53 a.m. (has sleeping accomodation). On 17th April Special Night Tram will leave Dunedin 10.0 p.m., Oamaru 1.38 a.m. (18th), Christchurch arrive 7.12 a.m. (has sleeping accommodation). DUNEDIN - GORE - INVERCARGILL. —On 13th April Relief Express train leaves Dunedin 5.43 p.m., Invercargill arrive 10.6 p.m. On 13th April Special Passenger train leaves Invercargill 6.40 pm., Dunedin arrive 11.3 p.m. On 14th April Special Passenger tram leaves Dunedin 7.45 am., Invercargill arrive 12.30 p.m. . , On 14th, 17th, and 18th April Relief Express train leaves Dunedin 9.0 a.m., Invercargill arrive 1.38 p.m., and Relief Express train leaves Invercargill 2.5 p.m., Dunedin arrive 6.53 p.m. On these dates the ordinary Down and Up Mail trains run between Dunedin and Gore only. GENERAL ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO THE ORDINARY TRAIN SERVICES. THURSDAY, 13th APRIL. DUNEDIN-PALMERSTON-OAMARU. —Train leaves Dunedin for Seacliff at 3.42 p.m., Waitati 4.54, Seacliff arrive 5.20 p.m. The usual 5.40 p.m. train will leave Dunedin 6.35 p.m., Pufakanui 7.28, Waitati 7.47, Seacliff 8.20, Waikouaiti 8.50, arriving Palmerston 9.20 p.m. Late train leaves Dunedin for Palmerston at 10.20 p.m., Waitati 11.21, Palmerston arrive 0.45 a.m. (14th), The 3.42 p.m., 6.35 p.m., and 10.20 p.m. trains from Dunedin stop at the Cliffs and Mickies Crossing to set down passenThe usual 3.1 p.m. Dunedin-Oamaru train will not take passengers tor Seacliff and stations south thereof. DUNEDIN-PORT CHALMERS.—Passenger train leaves Dunedin 11.23 p.m., Port Chalmers arrive 11.51 p.m. Passenger train leaves Port Chalmers 11.15 p.m., Dunedin arrive 11.44 p.m. DUNEDIN-CLINTON.—The 4.48 p.m. Dunedin-Clinton train usually leaving Balclutha at 7.28 p.m. will not be due to leave that station until 7.44, Clinton arrive 8.52 p.m. Train for Balclutha leaves Dunedin at 7.0 p.m. Connects with train for Tahakopa. Passengers from Dunedin for Milton, Balclutha. and stations on Roxburgh and Gatlins River Branches will not be booked by the express train leaving Dunn at 4.40 p.m. IUNEDIN-MOSGIEL.—The 11.15 p.m. nedin-Mosgiel train will run, returnleaving Mosgiel 11.56 p.m. )UTRAM BRANCH.—The usual 7.20 i. Outram-Mosgiel train will NOT run. . Train leaves Outram 9.0 a.m., Mosgiel. arrive 9.40 a.m., connects at Mosgiel with train leaving Mosgiel 9.51 a.m., and arriving Dunedin 10.19 a.m. ROXBURGH BRANCH—The tram usually leaving Milton for Lawrence. at 6.40 p.m. leaves at 7.5 p.m. (connecting with 4.48 p.m. and 5.43 p.m. trains from Dunedin), Waitahuna 8.22, arriving Lawrence 8.49 p.m. GATLINS RIVER BRANCH.—The 1.15 p.m. Balclutha-Tahakopa and 8.40 a.m. Tahakopa-Balclutha trains will NOT run. Train leaves Balclutha at 10.30 a.m., Qwaka 12.10 p.m., and arrives Tahakopa 2.15 p.m.Train leaves Tahakopa at 11.30 a.m., Oivaka 2.5 p.m., and arrives Balclutha 3.30 p.m. Special train leaves Balclutha for lahakopa at 9.28 p.m. (connecting with 7.0 p.m. train from Dunedin and with 6.40 p.m. train from Invercargill), arriving Owaka 10.40 p.m., depart 10.45 p.m., Tahakopa arrive 12.5 a.m. (14th). GOOD FRIDAyT 14th APRIL. All train services between Ashburton and Balclutha will be Suspended, with the following exceptions:— EXPRESS TRAINS. CHRISTCHURCH - DUNEDIN - IN r VERCARGILL—The 8.35 a.m. Christ-church-Invercargill and 7.0 a.m, Inver-cargill-Lyttelton Express trains. The 8.40 a.m. Dunedin-Christchurch and 12.25 p.m. Christchurch-Dunedin Mail trains. The 9.5 a.m. Dunedin-Christchurch and 9.10 a.m. Christchurch-Dunedin Relief Express trains. Mail train leaves Dunedin for Gore at 8.33 a.m. Relief Mail train leaves Dunedin for Invercargill at 9.0 a.m. Passenger train leaves Dunedin at 7.45 a.m., Invercargill arrive 12.30 p.m. Mail train leaves Gore for Dunedin at 2.59 p.m., Dunedin arrive 6.23 p.m. Relief Mail train leaves Invercargill at 2.5 p.m., Dunedin arrive 6.53 p.m. WAIMATE BRANCH. —Buses will conueet at Studholme with ordinary mail and express trains. DUNEDIN-PALMERSTON-OAMARU. —Special train leaves Dunedin 9.30 a.m., Seacliff 10.57, Palmerston arrive 11.48, depart 1.1.58 a.m.. arriving Oamaru 1.34 p.m. ■ Return train leaves Oamaru 4.20 p.m., Palmerston 6.3, arriving Dunedin 8.24 p.m. These trains stop where required, also at Cliffs and Michieg Crossing. The 7.0 a.m. Invercargill-Lyttelton and the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Invercargill express trains will stop at Waianakarua to set down. DUNEDIN - PORT CHALMERS Trains will leave Dunedin for Port Chalmers at 8.13 a.m., 10.15 a.m., 12.10 p.m. 2.30 p.m., 4.15 p.m., 5.15 p.m., 7.18 p.m., and 9.30 p.m.; and Port Chalmers for Dunedin at 7.12 a.m., 9.28 a.m., 11.0 a.m., 1.15 p.m., 3.40 p.m.. 5.10 p.m., 6.20 p.m., and 9.14 p.m. DUNEDIN-MOSGIEL - BALCLUTHA. —Train leaves Dunedin 9.15 a.m., arriving Balclutha 11.45 a.m. Train leaves Balclutha 8.0 a.m., arriving Dunedin 10.19 a.m. Trains leave Dunedin for Mosgiel at 7.15 a.m., 11.21 a.m., 2.40 p.m., 7.18 p.m., and 9.20 p.m.. and Mosgiel for Dunedin 1 at 8.14 a.m.. 1.20 p.m., 3.40 p.m., 8.30 p.m., and 10.15 p.m. OTAGO CENTRAL BRANCH.—The 7.52 a.m. Dunedin to Cromwell and the 7.30 a.m. Cromwell to Dunedin trains. Special train leaves Dunedin 8.20 a.m., Ranfurly arrive 1.33 p.m. Passengers • from Dunedin, Wingatui, and intermediate stations will NOT be booked by 7.52 a.m. Dnnedin-Croniwell train foe stations Taioma to Waipiata, inclusive.
