MR BROWNLEE'S CONCERT

A few days ago Dunedin music lovers were invited to send requests to Mr Brownlee for special encore numbers for Tuesday's concert. The response has been so great that, in order to fulfil' the many demands for the Straus, Schubert, and Schumann numbers, Mr Brownlee has decided to give a different programme from the one already announced. In place of the numbers previously announced, Mr Brownlee will sing:—" The Erl King " (Schubert), " Vision Fugitive " (the lovely aria from Massenet's opera " Herodiade"), "Phyllis Has Such Charming Graces " (Young), " Silent Worship " (Handel), "Devotion" (Strauss), "Ich Grolle Nicht" (Schumann), "Du RistWeiEine Blume " (Schumann), and the duets from " Rigoletto" and "Don Giovanni " (in .association with Miss Rita Miller). Mr Brownlee will include the serenade from " Don Giovanni" and "Trees" among his extra numbers, as many requests for these two songs have been received. M. Raymond Lambert will play the Toccata and Fugue (BachTiiveig), Ravel's "Jeux d' Eaux," and a scherzo by Auguste de Boeck, the modern Belgian composer. Miss Rita Miller's solo numbers will include the " Bell Song" from "Lakme" (Delibes) and a group of old English songs. The box plan arrangements are advertised.
