DUNEDIN v. NORTH OTAGO VISITING TEAM BEATEN. Rinks from the Dunedin and North Otago Clubs met in the annual contest on Saturday. The match, which was of 25 heads, was played at Dunedin this year on the North-East Valley green, and resulted in a win, on the aggregate, for the Dunedin rinks by 35 points. _ The visitors were welcomed by the president of the Dunedin Centre (Mr E. Nicolson 16. Totals: Dunedin 246, Public Service 231. BARNETT-ELLIS CUP. The first match for the Barnett-Eliis Cup was played on the greens of the Kaikorai and Roslyn Clubs on Saturday. Ten rinks were engaged, the Kaikorai Club eventually winning. In handing over the cup to the president of the Kaikorai Club, Mr A. Barnett congratulated the club on its success. The idea of procuring a cup for competition annually between the two clubs was Mr Ellis's, said the speaker, and it was to be regretted that he was not able to be present that. day.
