CAVERSHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION

TO THE EDITOR. Sir—l wish to take strong exception to the latter part of Mr H. Milne’s letter as regards the Ex-pupils’ Association having the right to endorse a member for the School Committee. At a meeting of the ex-pupils on Monday last a member of our executive simply spoke of the sterling services of the present School Committee, as owing to the subsidies being cut off they have had a job to make ends meet, and asked the members to return the ones that were renominated. I may say the Ex-pupils’ Association are part and parcel of the school, and I am quite sure any householder, including members of the Ratepayers’ Association, has the opportunity to be nominated without our sanction, as the rules will tell you. —I am, etc., Ex-pupils’ Executive Member. March 31.
