NEW FRENCH DESTROYER
RECORD SPEED DURING TRIALS PARIS, March 30. The destroyer Cassard averaged 42.9 knots and attained 43.4 knots during her trials. This is claimed to he a iccord. France is constructing eight faster destroyers, the first of which, the Mogador, is expected to reach 45 knots.
