RACING IN AUSTRALIA A WIN FOR ANTIQUE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 22. (Received March 23, at 0.30 a.m.) At Victoria Park races to-day the former New Zealander, Antique, 9.5 (Matthews), won the Victoria Park Handicap, defeating Chrystal Tin, 6.9 (Parsons), by a head. The distance was one mile and a-quarter and 121 yards, which was covered in 2min IGsec —a racecourse record. THE WALTZING LILY INQUIRY. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, March 22. (Received March 23, at 0,30 a.m.) The inquiry into the running of Waltzing Lily at Caulfield races on Saturday was concluded, the explanations of the owner, the trainer, and the jockey being accepted. A veterinary surgeon gave evidence that the horse had “trained off,” ■which, in his opinion, was responsible for its poor showing.
