WELLINGTON, March 21.: About 20 American magazines, (because of offensive advertisements, have been banned by the Customs Department, No exception has been taken to the letterpress, but to the advertisements only. Included in the publications which will be affected are a number of film'magazines, among which are Photoplay, Film Fun, Silver Screen, and the Motion Picture Magazine. Other periodicals which have been placed on the list include True Love Stories, True Story Magazine, - and Breezy Stories. Officers of the Customs Department have from time to time been calling at the premises of" the importers and inspecting magazines to make sure that unwanted advertisements are being deleted. No British publications are affected.
