“WONDERFUL HAAS!”

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —One hears much talk of tiic beauty of our country. Yet how many persons have really seen the beautiful country of the West Coast? 1 have travelled round the world and visited many countries, and think that one would lind it hard to compare anything with the scenic beauty of the West Coast. While one has only to make the trip through the Haast Pass up to the Fox Glacier to see natural beauty, very few have done this trip. The track is good and the stages between huts are comparatively easy. Should anyone wish.to say they have seen real beauty I would certainly recommend the Haast trip for then they can say they have seen Nature's beauty at its best. The expense of a guide’s ■ fee, etc., on the trip is not large, and, in fact, the trip is a very cheap holiday.—l am. etc., Heauty-seeker. Pembroke, March 17. Other Letters to the Editor appear on Page 4.
